Ahh.....Pocahontas Pancake House...My favorite place to eat at in Virginia hands down.

I'm an insanely bougie eater. I've been to dozens of restaurants in the area and up near the DMV searching far and wide for something to fill my void for great food. They're great and all but they have nothing on the sheer comfort of smothering your pancakes with butter and syrup at Pocahontas. I absolutely love their pancake combo and I have to get a side of corned beef to feel like the stereotypical old man having a breakfast and reading a newspaper(im 21).

My gf loves their pancakes and now their waffles. Their waffles are definitely delicious however I just can't escape the euphoric feeling of eating their pancakes which is why I don't stray from my goto. It's like I'm chasing a high each time I come treat myself. It makes me feel home in a state where I'm not and for that, nothing will ever compare or come close to Pocahontas.

I was underwhelmed. The service I would rate a 5. The waitstaff is helpful, smiling and efficient. My food, meh. The coffee is poured often but it's meh also. My most negative thing was the table spacing. It might as well be family style serving because the tables are so close together. You can't have a private conversation even if you whisper. You can barely squeeze between the tables. It's like I was eating on stage and I'm the darn show.

The servings sizes are huge. Save yourself a waist size and share a meal. This place reminded me of Denny's, lots of cheap carbohydrates to kick start your day. If that's you thing, this is your kind of place.

I was disappointed. It's over rated.

After reading all the reviews, i couldn't wait to try this place, but i was very disappointed with the experience,
The staff are nice, but the food was not good at all!
I had the pancakes and home fries, both were equally bad, how can you mess up pancakes when it's your specialty? Really not worth the hype or the wait.

I'll keep this one short and sweet. My Wife and I were having a weekend getaway right on the Boardwalk. It was Sunday morning, our last day, and we were NOT about to wait 2+ hours for breakfast at this place. Having said that, we knew it had to be halfway decent if crazy people are willing to spend 2 hours standing in line. We got in at 8:20am and got a table right away.

Waitress was spectacular and the food was on point. Nothing to write home about but nothing bad either. I can't say anything bad about this place but I also can't get all over the moon about it either. It was a perfect breakfast to cap off a perfect weekend.

This place is packed and has long lines. It their system is pretty efficient.  The pancakes are surprisingly just ok, a bit dry and dense.  The meat omelet was good and had enough meat but you have to order extra cheese.
